Rigsy · help
Connecting your PC.
Most problems show up on one status line. Find yours below — each has a fix.
Where to look
On the PC, open http://127.0.0.1:8188/rigsy (it refreshes by itself). The same line is printed in the ComfyUI console, starting with [Rigsy].
If that page doesn't exist, the node isn't loaded — see below.
What the status means
enter this code at https://studio.rigsy.dev -> My PCs- Waiting to be paired. Sign in to the studio and enter the code under My PCs. A code is valid for about 14 minutes; if it expired, the page already shows a new one.
tunnel to Rigsy running- All good. If the studio still shows the PC as offline, reload the studio page.
OpenSSH client not found; install it …- Windows: Settings → System → Optional features, add OpenSSH Client, then restart ComfyUI. Linux: install
openssh-client. macOS has it built in. can't reach Rigsy (…), retrying- This PC can't reach studio.rigsy.dev. Check the internet connection and try opening studio.rigsy.dev in a browser on the same PC. A firewall or antivirus may be blocking Python — allow it.
tunnel closed (…), reconnecting- The connection dropped; the node retries every 10 seconds by itself. If it keeps happening, the text in brackets says why:
- Could not resolve hostname relay.rigsy.dev — your router's DNS is stale. Restart the router, or set DNS to 1.1.1.1.
- Connection timed out / refused — the network blocks outgoing SSH (port 22). Common on work and school networks; try another network.
- Permission denied (publickey) — this PC was disconnected in the studio. The status will switch to a new code; enter it to connect again.
There is no /rigsy page and no [Rigsy] line
ComfyUI didn't load the node. Check that the folder with __init__.py sits directly in ComfyUI/custom_nodes/ — after unzipping it's easy to end up with a folder inside a folder.
Then restart ComfyUI and look for errors mentioning rigsy in the console. A non-standard ComfyUI port is fine; the node picks it up.
My PC shows as offline
- The PC is on, ComfyUI is running, and the status says
tunnel to Rigsy running. - Sleep mode cuts the connection. If you want to reach the PC while away, turn off sleep for that time.
- After waking up or a network change, give it up to a minute to reconnect.
Other things worth knowing
- Opening ComfyUI asks you to sign in. Open it from the studio's My PCs card while signed in — that's what lets you through. Cookies for rigsy.dev must be allowed.
- Uploads over 100 MB fail. That's a limit of the network in front of Rigsy. Copy big files such as models onto the PC directly.
- Several PCs are fine — install the node on each and enter each one's code.
Disconnect or remove
- In the studio: My PCs → Disconnect. The PC can't connect again until you enter a new code.
- On the PC: delete the node's folder from
custom_nodesand the.rigsyfolder in your home directory (Windows:C:\Users\<you>\.rigsy). - To keep the node installed but switched off, start ComfyUI with the environment variable
RIGSY_DISABLE=1.

Write to [email protected] with the status line you see. A Discord server is coming soon.
Never send anyone the contents of the
.rigsy folder, passwords or cookies. Rigsy will never ask for them.
